The Synthetic Research Index was founded and is initially funded by Minds AI. That relationship is disclosed on every relevant profile and does not grant Minds a different evidence standard.
Build the public evidence layer the field needs.
The Index exists to make tools, methods, claims, limitations, validation studies, and disagreements easier to inspect. It is designed for researchers making decisions, not for vendors purchasing visibility.
Minds funds the first phase.
Minds provides initial engineering, research, and operating support. Minds cannot purchase a score, suppress unfavorable evidence, or bypass source review. Future funding relationships will be listed publicly before they affect the project.
External review is part of the roadmap.
The founding protocol calls for a method advisory group with disclosed conflicts, vendor correction rights, public change logs, and independent replication partners. Until that group is seated, the site describes itself as open and evidence-led—not institutionally independent.
